Riggin finally had his first haircut. You can’t really tell much of a difference, but he no longer has hair in his eyes.

Afterward, I decided to try out some underwear on him. Sadly, he didn’t even notice as the pee ran down his legs (thankfully on the back porch).
We celebrated Ryder’s birthday two days after he broke his arm. He was jumping off the tramp and his foot got caught in the springs and he fell on his arm. Jason took him to the ER Friday night a couple hours after it happened. The radius is broken and they put a soft cast on him. When I saw the x-ray I thought it was a terrible break because the bone was bowed so bad, but the doc said that’s what the bone looks like normally. The cast should be on 4 to 6 weeks.
Saturday he had lots of well wishes, cards, treats, and books and movies to keep him occupied.
Monday was his birthday and since he broke his arm, our plans to go the the beach and birthday shopping got waylaid. But we still had so much going on that I forgot to decorate his door, nor did I remember to make a birthday cake. He didn’t complain though. He’s excited to get baptized in a couple weeks.
He’s super excited to be in scouts and loves his new uniform from Grandma Nielson.
Tuesday he got the hard cast on.
And then he picked out a birthday cake at the grocery store.
We had a great, warm Christmas. It didn’t feel much like Christmas because it wasn’t cold and snowy, but it was still good anyway.

Tricia sent us a Kindle Fire. All of Kache’s friends have devices so he’s been asking for one for a while now.

Jason and the kids got me a windmill. Jason said it was as much a pain to work on as a real one.
Dallie got a Dick and Jane book that she read to her kitty that meows and purrs and sounds exactly like Claire Bear.
We spent Christmas Even with Anderson’s. We had fondue and then the Nativity.

We had a fun time with new friends celebrating the birth of our Savior.
A few of the 2nd grade classes participated in penguin play for Christmas. Ryder loved performing. He did a great job. He reminded me so much of Kollin.
We have a ranch soccer league in the fall. The kids had a fun time playing soccer for the first time. And it’s very convenient that the soccer field is right across the road from our house.
