Kolt is 2 weeks old today. He’s been super fussy and finally on Saturday after nursing him constantly all afternoon and evening and him crying when I set him down, we decided he must have the same milk protein intolerance that Riggin had. So Jason ran to town and bought Nutramigen (the formula with partially broken down proteins) and Sunday he was much better. He’s still a bit fussy, but he will lay awake by himself now without crying and he isn't eating constantly anymore. I’m sad (again) that I don’t get to nurse him, but I’m glad he’s not starving and hurting so much anymore. We took him in to the doctor today to be weighed (he was back up to his birth weight of 7lb. 8 oz., up 6 oz. from last week) and told her what we’ve done and she was able to test his stool and determine he has the protein intolerance as well. So we’ll stick to the Nutramigen for now and in 2 weeks we go back and they’ll test his stool again and hope it’s working for him. We’re glad we know what to expect this time and that he didn’t have to suffer as long as Riggin. And we’re hoping for the same outcome as Riggin had.

Kolt Jay Bagley
Kolt Jay Bagley was born Tuesday, January 13, 2015. He weighed 7lb 8oz and was 20 inches long. We thought he was coming the Saturday before, but the hospital sent us home after I didn’t make any progress. Tuesday early morning I woke up to heavy cramping and lots of blood so we headed in again. But after 9 hours and very little progress they tried to send us home again, but I was already hooked up to the IV and I didn’t want to be poked any more than necessary so we stayed. They gave me pit and broke my water around 12:30 and he was born at 1:55 p.m.

Finally Nesting
I’m finally getting ready for this baby to come. We’ve had such a busy month, it’s nice to finally be done with it all and get in baby mode. I’m trying to get bedrooms rearranged and painted. I hope I’ll still have time to paint the boys’ room before the baby comes. I’m a little disappointed in the “gray” that we put on the baby’s walls. It dried blue. I found the tote with baby boy clothes and have them washed and put in the dresser, but Jason hasn’t been around to bring girl clothes totes down from the attic for me. We, of course, haven’t decided on a name. We’ve hardly talked names, so hopefully we’ll come up with something soon. Suggestions are always welcome. I’m trying to remember what things I need to pack to take to the hospital and this time I also need to pack bags for the big kids because they’ll be staying with friends.
Dallie’s new bed and doll house. Riggin is sleeping in the trundle, so the baby’s room is ready for the baby or any grandma’s who come visit.
