We went home to Florida for a much needed Spring Break. Texas and Louisiana had been having lots of rain and we were lucky to get through on I10 before they closed the east bound lane (west bound was already closed).
The water coming over the shoulder of the west bound lane.
We (Jason) drove through the night and we got to Deer Park Tuesday morning. Thankfully it was spring break in Osceola County too, so we got to play with our friends all week!
The house next to Wright’s was unoccupied, so we were able to stay there and Tarah fed and hosted us the rest of the time. We were able to visit old friends and old haunts (the swimming hole and the beach) and had a great time.
Anderson’s and Wright’s met us in at Paradise Beach.
Evelyn, Natalie, Malia, Dallie.
The big boys out riding the waves.
Riggin and Lily.
Without fail, every time I go to the swimming hole I get fire ant bites. And when I get bit on the foot I swell up like crazy. My foot barely fit in my boot.
The Deseret Ranch Rodeo was also the week we were there, so we got to watch Natalie sing the National Anthem and our fun friends compete.
On the Saturday morning agenda was an airboat ride with Robbie.
And, of course, more swimming. Sadly, we haven’t been swimming since we moved to Texas, so we tried to get in as much swimming in Florida as we could.
Saturday night was Malia’s baptism and birthday dinner.
All tuckered out after a week of playing.
It was hard to say goodbye again Sunday after church.
This is how Riggin and Johnny play. Good thing Johnny’s mom is kind and patient!
Saying goodbye to Malia.
We had the best spring break ever, and hope to make it back to Florida as often as we can!
