Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in Ainsworth with our friends Summer and Daniel.  It’s so nice to have them living close again!  Thursday morning after getting Thanksgiving dinner prep done, we went on a tour of their ranch.  The guys discussed grass types and grazing strategies.

The 3-year olds were left to their own devices in the back of the pickup.

Thanksgiving dinner was awesome.  It was nice to get together so we could justify making all the fixings (even sparkling cider).

The best part: dads doing the clean up.

Comparisons

My kids at 2 1/2 months.  Funny that they don’t look much alike.

Decorating Cookies

I made sugar cookies the other day and then left Jason in charge of the kids while they cut and decorated them (I’m too controlling to be in charge of kids making cookies).  They had a good time and enjoyed the fruits of their labors.

Halloween

Our Halloween season started out by carving pumpkins at the neighbor’s house with all the school kids.

The trunk-or-treat at the church was fun and well-attended.  I was glad I wasn’t in charge this year.  Kache was a ninja, Ryder was a pirate and Dallie was a cheerleader.

Then for the Lakeside Community Dinner, Ryder decided to be a soldier.

The community dinner was also well-attended.  We feel very blessed to be part of this community.

And finally, all the loot.  Six gallons this year.
