Ryder’s Leadership Day

Ryder’s had a great year at school.  He always has good grades and gets along well with other students and his teacher.  The parents were invited to his class to see what the students had accomplished during the year and they performed a little play for us.  Ryder had his speaking part memorized and after he finished a rather long monolog, the audience clapped and was so impressed by him.

He received a medal for having the most AR points.

Breakfast on the Beach

We had breakfast on the beach the other day.  Early morning is my favorite time to go to the beach.

Our friends showed up a couple hours later.  It was a fun day!

Kindergarten Swim Lessons & Splash Pad

Dallie’s kindergarten class has been having swimming lessons this week.  It’s so weird (and cool) to me that swimming is part of their curriculum.  It’s been good for Dallie to have swimming lessons because she’s been a little nervous in the water.  Today was their last day and it has been a fun week.

Riggin wanted to get in so bad.  By the end of the lesson his shorts were soaked.

After lessons, we went to the splash pad at Harmony Park.

Let’s Go Ride a Bike!

Jason’s been teaching Dallie how to ride a 2-wheeler.  She’s had a couple of wrecks, but she loves riding now.

Football and Jason’s Birthday

We started celebrating Jason’s birthday on Friday night.  He’d been gone to Gainesville for a couple of days and the kids couldn’t wait to open his presents.  He got root beer, animal crackers and a guitar.

He started his Saturday out at a service project building a fence in Kissimmee for Habitat for Humanity (pics courtesy Renee Jacobsen).

Then the kids and I met him at the football field, where there’s also a playground that Dallie and Riggin love.

The boys did good in their game.  Kache and Ryder both scored touchdowns, but the orange team still won.

After the game Tiffany brought cupcakes and the team sang happy birthday to Jason.

Saturday evening the kids all went to friends’ houses and Jason and I went out to dinner.  It was a good birthday.
